Our values are the core of who we are.
When we truly understand and can articulate our values, they become our North Star.
Values highlight our unique and individual essence.
Values should provide us with a personal code of conduct that informs all parts of our life: how we spend our time, the mate we choose, the career path we take.
When we are congruent with our values, we find happiness and contentment.
When we are incongruent, we spiral into negative behavior: staying in negative relationships, not taking care of our health and mental wellbeing, staying in a job that makes us miserable.
When we are aligned with our values, we experience fulfillment.
But first, we need to crystalize our core values.
During this Let's Talk, we'll focus on identifying your core values.
During this call, Barbara Leahy, Chief Growth Officer at Leadership Growth Partners, will guide us through a values exercise.
Let's Talk is a bi-weekly conversation with leading executives, thought leaders, and changemakers. There are no presentations or talking heads, just people having a conversation about career, family, and what matters the most to them. Find more content below:
(We will be posting the conversation with 48-hours of the talk.) Stay tuned for posts. Feel free to comment down below with resources on finding your North Star/Identifying Value down below.
Wonderful theme and so important. Finding those values can sometimes be challenging. 2 years ago, my husband and I read 'The Answer' by John Assaraf and Murray Smith. It was like an epiphany. It's all about defining what success means to you.
