Sometimes our lives might outwardly appear “perfect,” yet something still feels missing. Our fears and insecurities keep us stuck, holding us back from our dreams, from writing our own narrative. We live our lives according to the ‘should’s’ that others have placed on us.
In this Let's Talk on Getting Unstuck, Amy Yip, a certified Life Transformation and Mental Fitness Coach, Speaker, and Facilitator will walk us through her journey of "getting unstuck." Amy works with leaders worldwide to let go of the ‘shoulds’ and write the narrative they want to tell as the author of their own life story.
After 16+ years leading global teams at organizations like Google, Booz Allen, and Clorox, Amy left the corporate world, sold all her belongings in her NYC apartment, and took a 1-way flight to Ghana with her husband to volunteer at a breast cancer non-profit. The plan was to volunteer until May then travel the world. Clearly, COVID had different plans for her! She ended up getting stuck in Ghana for 7 months. Mental Fitness helped her find the courage to pursue her dreams, pivot her dreams during COVID, and discover the gift and opportunity in every circumstance.

This is a two-part series with Amy with a Microlearning on Mental Fitness - How Building Mental Fitness Helps You Own Your Story on January 19th.
Let's Talk is a bi-weekly conversation with leading executives, thought leaders, and changemakers. There are no presentations or talking heads, just people having a conversation about career, family, and what matters the most to them.
It doesn't have to be lonely at the top.

Yet another great session.
Quotables from the conversation with Any Yip :
- It's important to step out, even when you're afraid
- It takes a lot of strength to ask for help.
- Get out of your own head/fear/way
- 80% of change starts with you and building mental fitness
- Your body can’t tell the difference between fear and excitement as they both are just adrenaline.
We are the average of the five people we spend the most time with. Choose wisely. Amy recommends that you have the following types of people in your circle of influence:
1. Cheerleader
2. Mentor
3. Friend (who will truly listens)
4. Peer (helps you focus
5. Coach.
I want you to think about these questions for the next few days, weeks, months:
What about my current life situation steals my joy?
What do I wish my life looked like?
What would I lose if I don’t go after my vision
What will I gain by staying where I am?
What are my biggest doubts and fears about making a change and building my dream life?
Are those doubts and fears true?
