About the event

During this Let's Talk, we'll be discussing faith. This conversation is not specifically about religion, as faith takes many forms: for some, faith centers around the belief in oneself or one's community; For some, faith centers around science; For others, faith centers around the institution of religion.

In many ways, faith is an expression of hope for something better. In contrast,  belief is rooted in the mind and logic. Faith is based in the heart. In Hebrews 11:1, "Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

Faith speaks the language of the heart. It is an expression of hope that goes beyond the conscious mind.

"All that we hold precious rests upon a faith in people, their potential not yet fulfilled. The evidence of history points us in a different direction—the world is full of ugliness, brutality, and injustices. Yet there is also tenderness, kindness, and concern and that takes the bigger part of our hearts." Arthur Dobrin

Without faith in ourselves, we would be left immobile. Without faith in others, we would never trust and be able to connect truly.

Join us for our next Let's Talk on November 10, 2020, from 5 pm-6 pm.

This Let's Talk features our special guest, Jim Bechtold, Ph.D., Chief Innovation & Impact Officer at the CEO Forum. Before this, Jim served as one of the co-leaders of ANA's SeeHer movement. He was instrumental in creating the Gender Equality Measure (GEM). Jim has been a leader in the family entertainment industry for 10+ years. He co-founded Flashlight Entertainment to support Walmart and P&G's family programming initiative. Jim has also held executive positions at P&G, where he was the VP/GM of multiple organizations within a Ph.D. He is also a co-founder of Crossroads Church (Cincinnati, Ohio; https://www.crossroads.net), one of the fastest-growing and largest churches globally. Under Jim's leadership, the Crossroads community wiped $46.5 million in medical debt for 45,000 families and provided $230,000 to provide child care for health care professionals during the pandemic.

Let's Talk is a bi-weekly conversation with leading executives, thought leaders, and changemakers. There are no presentations or talking heads, just people having a conversation about career, family, and what matters the most to them.

It doesn't have to be lonely at the top.
