About the event

In this Microlearning, learn how to use purposeful self-promotion to talk about your work while elevating your career.

We’ve long been told, “Put your head down, do good work, and eventually, someone will notice you.” But that limiting and diminishing advice doesn’t hold up in the noise and pace of these transformative times. In reality, no one cares about your future the way you do. If you want to achieve remarkable results, it’s up to you to talk about your successes and accomplishments. In Bragging Rights, acclaimed speaker and advisor Lisa Bragg show you how to get comfortable sharing your strengths. Drawing on proprietary research, consultations with high-performing leaders, and her own rich experiences as a journalist and entrepreneur, Bragg examines why so many people are afraid to speak up about their work, illuminates why bragging is a catalyst of positive change, and offers practical advice on embracing and applying the art of authentic self-promotion. During this talk, learn how purposeful self-promotion can help you understand and tell the world about your true superpowers, so you can access new opportunities and, along the way, elevate others.

Lisa Bragg is the award-winning entrepreneur behind MediaFace, one of Canada’s first content companies and author of Bragging Rights: How to Talk About Your Work Using Purposeful Self-Promotion.

Lisa is on a mission to help people talk about their successes. Put your head down, do good work and eventually, someone will notice you is the lesson many of us learned to get ahead, but in reality, it’s a lesson in staying stuck while opportunities slip away. Lisa’s also conducted the most extensive research study into bragging and self-promotion and would be thrilled to share the research, stories and tips with your audience.

In May, Lisa’s book Bragging Rights will launch globally. In the book, she explores the spider web of issues that hold some people back from sharing their successes, achievements and wisdom.

Our C7 microlearning series is focused on how to elevate your career through short training modules. The micro-learnings are bite-sized and actionable. Our participants' goal is to "take action" 1-3 immediate actions after an event. This is in a peer setting where participants help hold each other accountable.
