About the event

"I think the most important thing we've learned as we've grown is that we have to prioritize. We talk about it as ruthless prioritization. And by that what we mean is only do the very best of the ideas. Lots of times you have very good ideas. But they're not as good as the most important thing you could be doing. And you have to make the hard choices."

Ruthless Prioritization is understanding and executing what matters most.

There are so many hours in a day. During this Microlearning, we discuss the importance of ruthless prioritization and how to get into a flow state. Our goal for this microlearning is to explore the concept of ruthless prioritization.

Remember that project where you were “in the zone” frequently and time just flew by? That state of mind is called flow. And it’s where the best ideas and work come from. If you haven’t felt this feeling in a long time, you - like many others - are in danger of having your best creative work behind you. The pandemic has found ourselves stuck in a more demanding cycle of excessive meetings, tasks, and misaligned priorities/expectations. Being stuck in this cycle leads us to the feeling of burnout and never being productive enough. Innovation and creativity can’t happen if we’re always drained and feeling sorry for ourselves. We need to take back ownership of our most non-renewable resource - our time! In this talk by entrepreneur Kenny Nguyen, learn how he guides his time with himself and others to get into flow-state more often.

Kenny Nguyen is the CEO/Co-Founder of ThreeSixtyEight, a creative agency whose mission is to challenge common thinking to create an uncommon future. Over the last five years, the agency has helped underdogs advance their causes through uncommon interactive experiences. Through the success of the agency’s work, ThreeSixtyEight aims to help the perception of their hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a city known for the underdog, become known as the creative epicenter of the south.  Prior to ThreeSixtyEight, Kenny co-founded Big Fish Presentations, a company that focused on ridding the world of boring presentations through high-quality presentation design, presentation coaching, and speechwriting.  During his time at Big Fish Presentations, he co-authored the McGraw-Hill published book The Big Fish Experience: Create Memorable Presentations That Reel in Your Audience, now published in three different languages.  Outside his agency, he is an investor in Soji: Modern Asian restaurant, frequent speaker, and advocate for AAPI professionals looking to find their voice in leadership.

Our C7 microlearning series is focused on how to elevate your career through short training modules. The micro-learnings are bite-sized and actionable. Our participants' goal is to "take action" 1-3 immediate actions after an event. This is in a peer setting where participants help hold each other accountable.
