About the event

Your words are powerful. Are these words promoting you or diminishing you in life?

When you think back over your accomplishments in life: the job successes, the achievements, the triumphs, do you give yourself the credit you deserve? Or do you attribute it to luck, timing, or (fill in the blank) anyone but you?

It's nice to be humble, but it's also important to recognize that you worked hard, had great ideas, and have the skills and talent to succeed. You worked hard to be where you are. Celebrate it. You're pretty awesome. You shouldn't be ashamed to talk about your accomplishments by diminishing your achievements using diminishing language.

Instead, JoAnn Lauterbach things you should be using Strong Powerful Language.

JoAnn Lauterbach is convinced that when more people communicate with courage and confidence, more people will thrive in life and work. This is why she works individually with professionals eager to improve their ability to message and influence others. Since influence occurs at all levels in an organization, much of her time is also spent facilitating dynamic Communication Workshops for groups in organizations.

JoAnn has trained thousands of professionals in corporations including RBC, TD Bank, Microsoft, Chubb Insurance, BCG, KPMG, and Bell Canada. In her work with clients, JoAnn brings to bear her personal experience of successfully navigating and mastering leadership in the corporate and entrepreneurial realms, the perspective of a woman of color, and her fine attunement to individual needs. Her keen sense of what's needed has informed her trajectory. As she embraces uncertainty and change, she speaks on its behalf to clients with verve, clarity, and infectious confidence.

She holds an MBA in Strategy from the CASS Business School in London, England and a BA in Business Management from The University of Western Ontario. Her specialties include: Strengthening communication skills, Assertive Communication Skill Development, Presentation skills, public speaking, crafting strong messages, executive presence, communication coaching, and virtual communication skill development.

Our C7 microlearning series is focused on how to elevate your career through short training modules. The micro-learnings are bite-sized and actionable. Our participants' goal is to "take action" 1-3 immediate actions after an event. This is in a peer setting where participants help hold each other accountable.
